NOTICE: All Tulsa Health Department locations are closed Thursday & Friday, Nov 23-24th in observance of Thanksgiving. We will reopen on Monday, November 27th to serve you.
It can be hard for teens to talk to their parents about being sexually active. However, many parents are willing to talk about sex and birth control, especially if they know you are trying to be responsible about your health. Family Planning services, such as physical exams and birth control, are available to teens 17 and under with parent/guardian consent. There are limited situations where teens may self-consent* for Family Planning services, please see below for additional information. Family Planning appointments can be made by calling 918-582-9355.
You may feel nervous visiting our Family Planning clinic for the first time. The more prepared you are beforehand, the more relaxed you’ll be on appointment day. Here’s what you can expect:
*Parental consent is required for all Family Planning services for teens 17 and younger, however, a teen may self-consent for services if they meet specific criteria such as being legally emancipated from their parent/guardian, are married, have a dependent child, are independent from their parent/guardian and support themselves, or are/have been pregnant.
We have 10 locations across Tulsa County that offer a variety of services to help you and your family stay healthy.
