TULSA, OK – [June 19, 2013] – The Tulsa Health Department’s Know Your Numbers program will offer free health screenings at the North Regional Health and Wellness Center, 5635 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.,  on Thursday, June 20 from 11a.m. to 7 p.m.

The screening tests are open to adults 18 years or older and include: blood pressure, full lipid panel (cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides), hemoglobin (anemia), glucose A1c (no fasting required), body mass index (BMI), waist to hip ratio measurements, and test results reviewed with a health mentor. No appointment is necessary.

The program makes it easy for individuals to be aware of their biometric numbers by offering their results on-site. A registered nurse or registered dietitian will review the results during a private consultation to help individuals understand what the numbers mean and learn how to improve or maintain their health.

Know Your Numbers will also conduct a free health screening that is open to the public at Lacy Park, 2134 N. Madison Pl., on June 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For more information about the Know Your Numbers program, please contact Rosaline Cupples at 918-595-4088 or rcupples@tulsa-health.org.
