NOTICE: All Tulsa Health Department locations are closed Thursday & Friday, Nov 23-24th in observance of Thanksgiving. We will reopen on Monday, November 27th to serve you.
Adults need to keep their vaccinations up to date because immunity from childhood vaccines can wear off over time. You are also at risk for different diseases as an adult. Vaccination is one of the most convenient and safest preventive care measures available.
Did you know that your need for immunizations does not end after childhood? You may still require specific immunizations and boosters. We can help you determine which immunizations you need by reviewing your medical and immunization history, your lifestyle, travel plans and other factors.
THD adult immunizations are provided for any adult, 19 years of age or older, who is not eligible for the Vaccine for Children (VFC) program. The immunizations are administered by a registered nurse. If possible, please bring your immunization history or records.
THD currently accepts Cigna, Community Care, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Choice, Medicare or Medicaid for immunizations. Coverage can vary among different insurance plans. Please bring your insurance card and photo ID with you. It is always advisable to check with your insurance provider for coverage specifics before receiving immunizations, as you may be responsible for charges that are not covered by your insurance policy.
